Paige Hadley

Although she had been a regular fixture of the Diamonds squad since 2013, Paige Hadley (netball) didn’t make her Commonwealth Games debut until 2022 where she was part of the team that recaptured the gold medal. She wasn’t considered for selection for the 2014 Commonwealth Games after rupturing her left anterior cruciate ligament and she also missed the 2018 Games due to an ankle injury. Paige started playing netball when she was seven, representing the Penrith district as a junior player. After high school, she received a scholarship to Western Sydney University, completing a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree. Paige had made numerous NSW junior squads before the midcourter was offered a spot with the NSW Blues in the Australian Netball League. She got a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport in 2012 and signed with the NSW Swifts for the 2013 season. Paige also made her Diamonds debut in 2013 and was part of the broader Australian squad from 2013 to 2018, including 2015 World Cup team. Paige credits her mindfulness coach with giving her a sense of calm and purpose and is renowned for her grit and determination and her versatility across the midcourt
