Penny Gillies-McCallum
Penelope ‘Penny’ Gillies (McCallum) (athletics) competed in the 100m hurdles and pentathlon at the 1970 Games in Edinburgh, along with the 1972 Munich and 1980 Moscow Olympic Games where she was team captain. The winner of five Australian titles in the 100m hurdles during her career, Gilles is a life member of Athletics Australia. Following her retirement, Gillies went on to become a renowned sprints, hurdles and relay coach at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games for Australia.
