Roger Bowyer
Roger Bowyer (boxing) was a lightweight boxer from South Australia who fought in the 60kg division at the 1970 Edinburgh Games. Bowyer initially was meant to fight in the featherweight division but arrived in Edinburgh 7lbs (3.17kg) over the division weight limit. Despite dropping 2lb in a day, Bowyer couldn’t drop the required weight and had to fight in the higher weight class.
