Sam competes in swimming and currently represents Warringah Aquatic Swim Club, having started when he was only 6 months old. His recent achievements include claiming 4 medals at the recent 2023 National Age Championships and being selected to two junior national squads. Sam swum the second leg in the bronze-medal-winning mixed 4x100m medley relay team at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games. He also won another bronze medal at the Games, and narrowly missed out on a podium finish in all of his individual events. His future aspirations include making a senior national team and being selected to an Olympic Team.
