Sarah Klau
Sarah Klau (netball) made her Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022 where she was part of the team that reclaimed the gold medal. One of the best defensive rebounders in world netball, Sarah joined the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2016 in the ANZ Championship then the NSW Swifts in 2017. Sarah was selected in the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2018/19 season and made her debut for Australia against Northern Ireland in 2019. Klau, who has also represented Australia in Fast5 netball, has attained both a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes ahead of the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season but has learnt to manage her illness under the pressure of high-level sport.
