Sigmund Koscik (athletics) finished 4th in the javelin in Edinburgh in 1970. Winning five Australian titles throughout his career in the event, Koscik broke the magical 80m barrier with a 80.42m throw in 1971. Koscik married 1966 Kingston Games gold medallist Margaret Parker.
