Tayte competes in track cycling and currently represents the South Australian Sport Institute, having started when he was 14 years old. His most recent achievements include claiming 4 National Championships Titles across Track Sprint Events. At the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, Tayte was selected to race in each of the men’s sprint distance events in the velodrome. He produced three top performances in his medal races to sweep the events, taking three gold medals home from the Games. His aspirations include becoming a World and Olympic Champion.
