Tina Rahimi

Tina Rahimi (boxing) will make her Commonwealth Games debut at the Birmingham Games. After starting boxing in 2017 as a form of exercise, Tina has had a meteoric rise in the sport – she had her first bout in 2018, was named female boxer of the 2022 Australian selection trials and will compete at her first world championships and Commonwealth Games in 2022. Tina trains under Mo Alytim (also known as coach Keefe) at Brotherhood Boxn Club in the Sydney suburb of Greenacre. She also credits Floyd Mayweather’s uncle, Jeff Mayweather, for helping build her confidence in the ring after she had the opportunity to train with him in Las Vegas in 2020. Tina is an important role model for the Muslim community and young girls and has created the Boxing With Tina Instagram account to encourage others to take up the sport.
