Zoe Ammundsen
Zoe competes in swimming and currently represents Iona Swimming Club, having joined the squad team when she was 8 years old. Her recent achievements include coming 1st in the B-Final of the 100m backstroke and 7th in the 200m backstroke at the Australian World Championship Trials, as well as being three-time Australian Age National Champion in both the 100m and 200m backstroke. In the women’s 50m backstroke at the Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, Zoe set a new Junior Commonwealth Games Record of 28.71 seconds to clinch gold. She just missed out on a sweep of the backstroke events, claiming silver in the 100m and 200m events, and was part of the mixed 4x100m medley relay team that won bronze. Her aspirations include continuing to travel the world on swim teams and being selected to a Commonwealth and Olympic Games.
