The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has selected four archers, including Delhi 2010 gold medallist Taylor Worth, to compete in Tokyo.
The archery team heading to Tokyo is now complete with the addition of Rio 2016 Olympian Alice Ingley who joins the men’s team archers Taylor Worth, David Barnes and Ryan Tyack, selected in March 2020.
Ingley will compete in the women’s singles and in the Olympic debut of the mixed doubles.
The announcement of the archery team takes the number of athletes selected to 371 of an expected 450-480, which includes 118 Commonwealth Games Australia alumni members.
Worth holds a unique place in Australia’s Commonwealth Games history as one of only three archery gold medallists, along with Matthew Gray and Mathew Masonwells, when the trio won the men’s team recurve at the Delhi 2010 Games.
Archery has only featured at the Commonwealth Games twice, at the Brisbane 1982 Games and the Delhi 2010 Games.

Chef de Mission for the Australian Olympic Team for Tokyo Ian Chesterman welcomed Alice to the Team for Tokyo.
“Congratulations to Alice on her selection to the Australian Olympic Team,” Chesterman said.
“This has been a long and difficult qualification process and Alice should be proud of her determination and performance to secure her selection to her second Olympics.
“After competing in the singles competition in Rio, Alice will also contest the mixed teams as the event makes its Olympic debut in Tokyo.
“Thank you to Archery Australia, and Alice’s family, friends, teammates and coaches who have supported Alice and helped her achieve this Olympic selection. I look forward to seeing Alice and the rest of the archery team on the range in Tokyo.”
The Archery competition is conducted from 23-31 July, at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.
