Commonwealth Games Australia have today released Episode Two of The Pursuit of Unstoppable, turning the spotlight to Netball and offering rare behind-the-scenes access to one of Australia’s most successful high-performance programs.

The episode captures the precision, intensity and team-first culture that define the sport, and what it takes to perform at the highest level.

Part of the six-part Green2Gold2Great documentary series, now streaming on 7Plus and YouTube, the Netball episode takes viewers inside elite performance environments through the eyes of athletes and coaches, where data, preparation and mindset come together to drive results.

From tactical analysis and physical conditioning to recovery and mental strength, the episode reveals the relentless daily standards of international netball, and the resilience required to deliver under pressure.

Australian Diamonds captain Liz Watson said the international landscape is tighter than ever heading into major competition.

“International netball at the moment is incredibly tight, and probably the closest it’s been in the history of netball. Going into the next Comm Games, that’s going to be a huge challenge,” Watson said.

“Obviously Commonwealth Games and World Cups are what we aim for, and we work in our four-year cycles to make sure we are peaking at those events.”

Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich highlighted the fine margins that define success at the elite level.

“The wins that we’ve had in the big marquee events have come down to 5-minute opportunities. There’s great pride making sure that we represent Australia extremely well. We’ll be making every opportunity count,” Marinkovich said.

“You can’t stay at the top just doing the same thing. So, it’s finding a way to innovate the program, to implement what’s sort of cutting edge and to stay ahead of the opposition.

“We want to win gold at Glasgow, there’s no doubt about it. Every time we come together, we need to make sure it’s really purposeful.”

The Pursuit of Unstoppable features Athletics, Basketball 3×3, Cycling, Netball, Para Swimming and Triathlon, with each episode showcasing the people, programs and innovations driving Australian sport on the road to Glasgow 2026.

Offering a fly-on-the-wall perspective beyond medals and moments, the series provides an intimate look at the ambition, grit and performance systems behind Australia’s green and gold campaign, and the athletes and teams at its heart.

The series celebrates not only podium performances, but also the partnerships, pathways and high-performance systems that make them possible.

The Green2Gold2Great Investment Program was established to strengthen high-performance pathways, enhance athlete development and deliver sustained podium success.

CGA has committed up to $11.4 million this quadrennium, and more than $67 million since 1996, providing strategic support that accelerates performance and helps Australian athletes succeed on the Commonwealth stage.

This documentary series celebrates the athletes who dream big, the sports that elevate each other, and the community that stands behind them.

The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place from 23 July to 2 August 2026.
