Darryl Clout appointed to World Bowls board

Commonwealth Games Australia director Darryl Clout has been appointed to the board of World Bowls as the Oceania Regional Director.

Clout is currently the President of Bowls Australia, a position he has held since 2017, after being appointed to the Bowls Australia Board in 2012, and has had a long and distinguished career in sports management both in a professional and voluntary capacity.

After 25 years of service on the personal staff of NSW Government Ministers, including two Ministers for Sport, Clout was the General Manager of NSW Sport and Recreation for six years.

A President of two National Sporting Associations, formerly Softball Australia and now Bowls Australia, Clout also held the position of Vice President of the International Softball Federation.

He is currently a Board Member of the Hunter Academy of Sport.

Clout was also elected to the Board of Commonwealth Games Australia in 2018 and is Chair of the Heritage and Awards Committee.
