Madeleine Fasnacht has added a bronze medal to her tally in the under 19 women’s time trial at 2017 UCI Road World Championships in Norway.

In wet conditions, the Commonwealth Youth Games gold medallist clocked in as fifth fastest but powered home into third position, stopping the clock in 24mins 2.04secs, claiming the bronze.

Fasnacht was edged out by Italian cyclists Elena Pirrone (silver) and Alessia Vigilia (gold), but remained pleased with her ride.

“I didn’t know what to expect today I just did my best and I’m really happy with getting on the podium,” Fasnacht said.

Joining Fasnacht on the international circuit are her Youth Games counterparts, Seb Berwick and Mitchell Wright.

Berwick and Wright will represent Australia in the under 19 time trial this evening from 7:35 – 9:44pm AEST.
