Megan Schutt

Megan Schutt (T20 cricket) has been a mainstay of the Australian women’s team since 2012 and shared the wicket-taking spoils with Tahlia McGrath in Australia’s gold-medal winning campaign at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, both taking 8 wickets in the tournament.

The right-arm quick, who has played over 100 matches and taken over 130 wickets in the T20 format, burst onto the international scene in December 2012 and was the tournament’s leading wicket taker in Australia’s World Cup victory in India just a few months later. Schutt was the first female bowler to take two international hat-tricks: the first in a T20 match against India in 2018, then against the West Indies in a one-day international the following year. She has been part of three winning teams at the T20 World Cup, including the tournament’s top wicket-taker in 2020.

She married her long-term partner Jess Holyoake in 2019.
