Sariah Paki

Sariah Paki’s (rugby 7s) dream of representing Australia became a reality when she was called up to play at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and in 2022 the big-hitting young gun made her Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham where she was part of the team that won the gold medal.

Sariah grew up on Sydney’s northern beaches playing touch football for Manly Warringah where her mother Roha Berryman coached the team from the under 12s to the under 18s, overseeing the progress of her daughter, niece Faith Nathan as well as Madison Ashby. The team remained unbeaten for nine years.

Sariah had her first tase of rugby sevens competition in November 2018 when she was 17 in a development side at the Oceania 7s. She made her World Series debut two weeks later in Dubai, the youngest player to ever to compete for Australia on the global sevens circuit.

Sariah is the second of six siblings, including older sister Aaliyah who played touch football for the Parramatta Eels.
