Teagan Levi

Teagan Levi (rugby 7s) was one of nine debutants on the Australian women’s team that won the gold medal at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, joining Maddison Levi as the only set of sisters on the 430-strong Australian team and the first siblings to represent Australia in the sport at the Commonwealth Games.

The Gold Coast sister act, who were born in Sydney but grew up on the Gold Coast, first showed their talents on the field at Miami State High School and their drive to make the Australian team started when they met their idol Charlotte Caslick and ogled her Olympic gold medal.

The pair were the stars of Queensland Maroons under-17 side at the National Youth Sevens tournament in 2019 but their athletic gifts were recognised by the Gold Coast Suns and the duo was drafted to AFLW at the end of 2020. However, the lure of travelling the world and representing their country at Commonwealth and Olympic Games proved too much and they relinquished their Suns’ contracts at the end of 2021 to move to Sydney and focus on their first love, rugby.
