Golf will make its debut at the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games, joining the sports programme for the first time in Commonwealth history.
Golf will join a number of other spots to be featured at the Geelong hub, teeing off on the Bellarine Peninsula.
The addition of golf has been driven by the International Golf Federation (IGF), which also runs the Olympic golf competition and the World Amateur Teams Championship, and the three peak bodies in Australian Golf – the PGA of Australia, the WPGA and Golf Australia.
The governing body for Golf in Australia is Golf Australia.
