Shooting is a CGA Associate Member. Associate Members include sports not currently on the Games program, but may be in future. Shooting is set to make it’s return to the sport programme at the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Shooting events combine skill, accuracy, concentration and speed. The sport first appeared on the program in 1966, and for all Games since 1974.
Shooting disciplines include Fullbore, Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun.
