The famed Melbourne coffee roaster ST. ALi, is set to join the Australian Commonwealth Games Team as an Official Supplier at AUS HQ, delivering barista-made coffee to athletes, coaches and officials across the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
In Glasgow, ST. ALi will establish a café in the forecourt of AUS HQ, with three expert baristas to fly in from Australia to brew the more than 700 cups anticipated each day.
The partnership announcement coincides with 100-days-to-go until Glasgow 2026, where to mark the occasion, ST. ALi will give away 100 free coffees from its South Melbourne café to the first 100 customers that visit from 7:00am tomorrow, Tuesday 14 April.
Barista made coffee has become a central part of the Australian Team experience, with Chef de Mission Petria Thomas OAM OLY acknowledging how important welcome tastes from home can be for delivering team success.
“The athletes have time and time again told us that difference barista made coffee has made to their Games experience in recent years, so locking in ST. ALi will be music to the ears of many,” Thomas said.
“I had breakfast at their famed laneway café in South Melbourne only last month and am confident the experience there will be echoed through their activation at the AUS HQ.
“We’re forecasting more than 700 cups will be served each day, with family and friends of athletes to be catered for, too. It’s a little taste of home, a long way from home.”
Set to ensure the Australian Team will be firing on all cylinders when they take to the field of play, the premium coffee experience will also be extended to family and friends as part of Sideline Champions.
ST. ALi CEO Lachlan Ward said the team is ready to bring its energy, and most importantly its coffee, to the Australian Team’s campaign.
“We’re proud to support the Australian Team in Glasgow,” Ward said.
“Great coffee brings people together and we’re excited to play a small part in helping athletes feel at home and ready to perform at their best.
“We’re passionate about seeing Aussies succeed and can’t wait to help keep the Team fuelled throughout the Games.”
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will take place from 23 July to 2 August 2026.
