Xiang Lin

Ying Xiang Lin (badminton) made his Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham where he was eliminated in the round of 16 of the men’s singles by eventual gold medallist Sen Lakshya of India. He also reached the round of 16 in the mixed doubles with Gronya Somerville. Lin plays with the An-Yu Badminton Academy in Perth and was the 2019 Western Australian State singles champion. He was no.2 seed in men’s singles at the 2022 Australian National Championships where he lost to Birmingham 2022 teammate Nathan Tang in the quarter-finals, then lost to Tang again at the 2022 Oceania Championships.
