Zac Incerti
Zac Incerti (swimming) won three gold medals for relay swims and reached the final of the 100m freestyle at his second Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Late to competitive swimming – he didn’t take the sport seriously until he left high school – Zac made his first senior Dolphins team for the Budapest 2017 World Championships. Next came his first senior Australian title in the 100m backstroke in 2018 before he completed the podium for Australia in the 50m backstroke at his Commonwealth Games debut on the Gold Coast behind Mitch Larkin and Ben Treffers and won gold in the 4x100m freestyle He went on to claim two bronze medals in freestyle relays at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Growing up in the West Australian town of Broome, Zac left the Kimberley to board at Aquinas College in Perth when he was 13. After training with Mick Palfrey in Perth for seven years, Zac opted to move to Adelaide after the Tokyo Olympics to join best mate Kyle Chalmers under Peter Bishop at Marion.
Zac dabbles in stand-up comedy in his spare time and is also a strong advocate for mental health awareness, after struggling through his own battles with anxiety and depression.
