Having four medals already under the belt, Team Aus are determined to keep the success flowing, when four more sports kick off competition today at 9am (11pm est).
Cycling (road)
Our four cyclists will take to the streets of the Bahamas today (10pm est) for an opportunity to put Australia further up the medal tally.
Beach Volleyball
With a win each for our men’s and women’s team yesterday, this will be a good opportunity for the athletes to show the competition they are the real deal. First up the men’s team James Takken and Mark Nikolaidis, will take on Saint Lucia (2.50am est) followed by our women’s team Rebecca Ingram and Carrie Van Rensburg who will go head-to-head with the local team.
Rugby 7s
The female Rugby 7s team will open their campaign for Gold with three matches against Bermuda (11pm est), Trinidad and Tobago (4am est) and Fiji (7am est).
Boxing
Our second combat sport begins their bouts this evening (7am est). All eight of our male boxers will take to the ring with the opportunity to advance through and contend for a medal tomorrow evening.
Swimming
Tonight (8am est) men and women 50m butterfly, 200m freestyle, 100m/200m breaststroke, 100m backstroke and 1500m freestyle will take to the pool for the first round of heats.
