Craig Phillips AM, the CEO of Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA), has been reappointed to the Leadership Group of the Win Well Strategy.

Phillips will join colleagues from each of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and Paralympics Australia (PA), as well as athlete representatives Milly Tapper (table tennis), Marissa Williamson Pohlman (boxing) and Brodie Summers (freestyle skiing).

The Leadership Group is charged with supporting the delivery of Horizon 2 Pinnacle Event targets at each of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, the 2026 Winter Olympic Games and the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, both in Milan Cortina, Italy.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to work alongside the Leadership Group as we deliver against the Horizon 2 Pinnacle Event targets, including green-and-gold success at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

“We’ve seen what’s possible when the sector comes together; a record-breaking result at the Olympic Games and continued Paralympic accomplishments.

“I am confident this will continue if we remain committed to the aspirations of the Win Well Strategy, collaborating in the interests of athletes, their national sporting organisations and the sport institute and academy network.”

The Win Well Strategy is Australian sport’s roadmap for sustainable success leading up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond, with 61 sports and organisations signing on since its launch.

Central to the strategy is a commitment to winning well, an ethos emphasising that how you win is just as important as when you win, with wellbeing as the foundation for athletes, coaches, and staff to achieve their full potential both in sport and life.
