Join us in the community to celebrate ‘One Year to Go’ to the biggest sporting event Australia will see in more than a decade.

 

 

GOLD COAST

Athletes, sporting activities, live music by Australian band Shepphard, mascots, light show and more.

WHEN:

6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

WHERE:

Surfers Paradise Beach & The Esplanade – adjacent to Caville Avenue

COST: Free

 

SYDNEY:

A fun netball challenge will see elite athletes and the general public attempt to shoot as many netball goals as they can within one hour

– the target being 2018 goals.

Athletes will include discus champion Dani Stevens, wheelchair racer Kurt Fearnley and Netballers Paige Hadley and Kristiana Manu’a.

WHEN:

12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

WHERE:

First Fleet Park, Circular Quay

COST: Free

 

MELBOURNE:

Federation Square will see elite athletes and the general public attempt to shoot as many netball goals as they can within one hour

– the target being 2018 goals.

Athletes will include cycling champion Anna Meares OAM, sprinter Morgan Mitchell and netballers Jo Weston and Liz Watson.
