Homegrown sports brand Valour has been confirmed as Official Sports Apparel partner for Trinbago 2023, with the Commonwealth Youth Games now a mere 100 days away.

The appointment marks Valour’s first collaboration with an Australian Commonwealth Games Team and extends on their existing successful presence as official apparel and uniform partners with high performance partners including the New South Wales Institute of Sport and several state sporting organisations.

Valour is poised to provide a comprehensive collection of apparel, consisting of over 5,000 items, including our next generation competition uniforms designed for cycling, rugby, triathlon, and athletics, as well as a complete range of team accessories.

Furthermore, they will also provide ceremonial wear for the team to be worn during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, featuring designs that pay tribute to Commonwealth Games Australia’s relationship with First Nations Australians.

Craig Phillips AM, the Commonwealth Games Australia CEO, said that he was excited to partner with an Australian owned brand, one that focuses on creating performance and comfort driven sportswear that is innovative and accessible to all.

“Valour has already demonstrated a keen understanding of the requirements needed for the Australian Commonwealth Youth Games Team, and we look forward to seeing their vision come to life,” Phillips said.

“With a history of outfitting high performing sports teams, the team at Valour clearly understands and is committed to ensuring that our athletes have everything they need to perform at their best.”

“For many of these athletes, it will be their first time competing in an international multi-sport event and we want to ensure they are comfortable and confident when in their performance wear, something we look forward to working with Valour to deliver.”

Ryan Tesoriero, the Managing Director of Valour, expressed pride in the company’s partnership with Commonwealth Games Australia to support the team members participating in Trinbago 2023. He expressed excitement over the partnership, which involves providing all apparel for the Australian Team in the competition.

“Valour’s premium quality apparel will be worn by the team’s young and talented athletes, giving them an edge over their competitors as they represent their country in this prestigious international event.”

“Furthermore, this partnership presents an excellent opportunity for Valour to showcase our manufacturing and supply capabilities, solidifying our position as the leading choice for Australian representative teams seeking an Australian-owned partner”.

An Opening Ceremony in Trinidad will mark the commencement of seven days of competition at Trinbago 2023 on 4 August 2023, just 100 days from now.

The Australian team will be led by Paralympic champion Ellie Cole OAM with support from Birmingham 2022 representative Greg Hire. It will feature approximately 70 athletes across the seven participating sports of athletics, cycling, swimming, FAST5 netball, triathlon, rugby 7s and beach volleyball.

Commonwealth Games Australia’s partnership with Valour has been secured by SPORTFIVE, our exclusive partnership agency.
