Commonwealth Games Australia is calling for expressions of interest from our alumni for our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group.

Following our recent announcement of a commitment to implementing a RAP, we are seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous representatives from our alumni to join our RAP Working Group and assist in shaping and implementing the RAP in the lead up to and during the 2022 Birmingham Games.

We are seeking up to eight alumni members (athletes/coaches/team officials) for the working group.

The first meeting is set to be held in February 2021, with the development of CGA’s RAP being lead by Yorta Yorta woman, Karen Milward.

We are also pleased to announce the appointment of four-time Commonwealth Games representative, three-time Chef de Mission and now CGA Board member Steve Moneghetti, as the chair of our RAP working group.

Closing date for expressions of interest is Friday 29 January 2021.

Please send your interest and with it a short statement supporting your application to community@commonwealthgames.com.au

If you have any questions, please direct them to Natalie Medhurst, Community Engagement Manager  – natalie.medhurst@commonwealthgames.com.au
